Students living in dormitories are allowed to cook in their buidling. The university also has a student canteen serving lunch and dinner for students. The student canteen share the same building with the university's library and the publisher.

The student canteen is located within the main campus of Vietnam Maritime University at 484 Lach Tray street, Le Chan district, Hai Phong city, Vietnam.
